Manchanabele dam is an ideal weekend getaway from Bangalore.It is serene & peaceful with abundance of nature around.Nice to enjoy the peaceful surroundings.Food needs to be carried 
We proceeded few more meters further to reach the water place. If you travel by your own vehicle, you can even take your vehicle near the water itself. But its good to park it little far by not polluting the region around the water.

too many deaths over the years! This dam is actually not on a river or flowing water...but actually built to store rain water...hence the more-than-average silt .... quicksand.... a death trap if ever there was one.

              This Dam is build across the river Arkavathi 

The land which covered for irrigation under this project is called "Thore saalu"

All the villages comes on the two sides of river arkavathi, in kannada "thore" means river and "saalu" means line.
